BEHAVIOR ANALYSTS
Frans
van Haaren, Ph.D., BCBA
Frans earned his Master’s and Doctoral
Degrees in Behavior Analysis from Western Michigan
University in Kalamazoo, MI. He then taught courses in
behavior analysis and conducted research in the experimental
analysis of behavior and behavioral pharmacology at the
Netherlands Institute for Brain Research and the University
of Florida. Frans has been a Board Certified Behavior
Analyst (BCBA) since 2001. As president of ABC
Interventions, Inc. and Autism Early Intervention Clinics,
LLC he has been providing intervention services based on the
principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to children
and adults with varying disabilities, including autism and
their families. Frans has been recently elected to the
Board of Editors of the new scientific journal, Behavior
Analysis in Practice.
Mary M.
Fuller, Ph.D., BCBA, LMHC, NBCC
Mary earned her Bachelor’s Degree in
Special Education and Master’s in Behavioral Psychology from
Wayne State University in Detroit, MI. She completed the
requirements for her Counseling Degree at the University of
South Florida in Tampa, where she also earned her Doctoral
Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies (Psychology, Counseling
and Special Education). Mary is a licensed Family Court
Mediator, a certified Hypnotherapist, a licensed Mental
Health Counselor, a National Board Certified Counselor and a
Board Certified Behavior Analyst. Mary has been in private
practice providing individual counseling services and
behavioral therapy services for children and adolescents. In
addition, she has provided behavior analysis services for
the Pasco County School District.
Marc Weeden,
B.A., BCABA
Marc earned his Bachelor of Arts degree
in the Humanities from Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, FL.
He has been a Board Certified Associate Behavior Analyst (BCABA)
since 2004. Marc has been providing behavior analysis
services for children and adults with a variety of
disabilities including autism for many years, first with the
Pinellas Association for Retarded Citizens, more recently as
a Consultant with Autism Early Intervention Clinics. Marc is
currently enrolled in the Behavior Analysis program at the
Florida Institute of Technology to complete the coursework
that will allow him to become certified as a BCBA.
THERAPISTS
Teresa Abeyta
Teresa earned an Associates degree from
Trinidad State College in Trinidad, CO and Bachelor of
Science Degree in Speech Communication with an emphasis on
Communication Disorders from Colorado State University in
Pueblo, CO. She was previously employed as an Autism
Therapist using the principles of applied behavior analysis
(ABA) at Soaring Eagles Center for Autism in Pueblo West, CO
and as a teacher / tutor at Educational Advantage in Park
City, UT, where she taught students with learning
disabilities using the Direct Instruction materials.
Karen Cuba
Karen
earned her Associate in Arts degree from St. Petersburg
College in St. Petersburg, Florida. She is currently
working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Exceptional Student
Education at the same college. Karen is a life guard and
swim instructor and has worked with special needs children
for many years.
Caitlin Figley
Caitlin earned her Associate in Arts
degree from St. Petersburg College in St. Petersburg,
Florida. She is currently working towards a Bachelor’s
Degree in Exceptional Student Education at the same college.
For many years, Caitlin has been teaching infants and
toddlers in a pre-school setting
Spiro Kotsios
Spiro
earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business with a major in
Psychology from Northern Illinois University in Dekalb,
Illinois. He is currently enrolled in the Master’s Degree
program in Applied Behavior Analysis at the University of
South Florida in Tampa, Florida. While employed at the
Family Study Center of the University of South Florida,
Spiro observed and coded behavioral interactions between
parents and children and prepared materials to be presented
at local and national conferences.
Leigh Sams
Leigh
earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the
University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida. She is
currently enrolled in the Master’s Degree program in
Applied Behavior Analysis at this same University. Leigh
was the Vice-President of the University Psychology
Association in 2006 and is a member of PSI CHI Psychology
Honor Society. For several years, Leigh has provided
physical assistance to young children with special needs,
while facilitating intervention programs based on the
principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and
Relationship Intervention Development (RDI) programs.
P. Voula Smith
Voula earned her Bachelor of Arts
degree in psychology from Rutgers College, NJ and her
Masters of Education from the Graduate School of Education
at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ. She was an
assistant teacher in the Douglass Developmental Disabilities
Center at Rutgers University, a teacher and educational
evaluator at The Shield Institute in Bronx, NY and a teacher
at Theracare in New Rochelle, NY. She was the Administrator
at Country Day School in Largo, FL from 2001-2006. Voula is
currently enrolled at the World Campus at Penn State
University to obtain her Graduate Certificate in Applied
Behavior Analysis that will allow her to be certified as a
BCBA.
